Did you recently move to Aarhus? Could you use some good advice during your first time living in the "City of Smiles"?
Join one of our cosy Speed Buddying events to get matched with a Welcome Buddy who can give you tips about life in the country of hygge.
We host 4 events per year. Find the next one here.
How does it work?
After you get matched, the coordinator will put you in touch with your Welcome Buddy. The programme is free and lasts three months, where we advise you to meet three times.
Why you should sign up:
I didn’t just get a soft landing in Denmark thanks to my Welcome Buddy, I also got a new friend. - Shiru, newcomer from Singapore
Become a Welcome Buddy
Are you either Danish or have been living in Denmark for some time? Are you ready to help a newcomer settle in Denmark?
Sign up as a Welcome Buddy to:
At first, I thought it was something I was doing for someone else, but then I figured out it was just as much for me. - Anders, Welcome Buddy from Denmark
NB: If you live outside the Aarhus region and/or cannot attend the events, the coordinator can match you based on your profile (i.e. age, interests, hobbies etc.).
This programme isn't a job mentorship programme but mostly about socialising and adjusting to life in Denmark.
If you are a student, please check programmes at StudenterhusAarhus, ESN, or your university department.
