Discover Inside, an initiative by the Job in Aarhus network to help people who have recently arrived in the region of Aarhus to feel at home in Central Denmark, both on the private and professional sides.

With Inside, international newcomers will have the opportunity to sign up to a Welcome buddy programme as well as a business mentorship programme.

Welcome Buddy

Biking in the forest

The Welcome Buddy programme was designed to guide expats during their first few months in Central Denmark.

The programme is targeted to internationals working in the Greater Aarhus area as well as their accompanying partners.*

Just arrived in Central Denmark?

If you've recently arrived in Central Denmark, there must be a thousand questions racing through your mind, from where to buy milk and get around the city to how to find a nursery for your child.

By joining the Welcome Buddy programme, we'll match you with an international or a Dane who knows your area and will help you settle in.

You've been around for a while?

You've been living in Denmark for at least a year, you're social, open-minded, you like to help and you have a positive experience in Denmark that you would like to share with others?

Then sign up as a Welcome buddy and have a positive impact in an expat's international journey to the country of hygge. As a Welcome buddy, you can share your experience about everyday life in Denmark and give a warm welcome to help an international adapt to the cold Danish weather.

*Note that this programme is not designed for students. If you are a student, please check programmes at StudenterhusAarhus, ESN, or your university department.
