The Danish General Election

Are you curious about the upcoming danish general election? Do you want to know how the Danish Parliament and the political system work?

The Danish general election is around the corner - which you've probably noticed!

Since the Prime Minister called for the election to be held on November 1st, it has been everywhere in the media and on the lips of most Danes. But the Danish political system can be quite complicated!

Do you think so too? Join us for a cosy after-work event where we'll get a deeper understanding of how it all works!

The Parliament makes laws that affect all of us. Although non-citizens cannot vote in the general election, it is good to know how it works - especially if you want to become a danish citizen one day!

We'll keep it simple, drink some ☕ and give a basic walkthrough of the Danish political system:

  • The Danish Parliament: how are things structured? How are laws passed? Who does what?
  • The general election: what's up and down? Who can vote? How does it all happen?
  • The political parties: Why do we have so many? How is the government formed? Who decides what?

Psstt... We also have a fun little activity planned! 😇
